The interior of this vehicle has held up exceptionally well over the years. While most JDM cars of this vintage are thoroughly modded with flashy exterior aero, we are pleased to say that this Starlet has maintained a stock exterior throughout its 28 years on the road, with the only modification being a set of aftermarket 8 spoke wheels, a worthwhile replacement for the unsightly OEM steelies. The exterior is finished in a respray of the OEM Satin Black Metallic paint.

While this Front Wheel Drive EP82 Starlet isn’t the same barebones race ready hatch as its predecessor, it still comes equipped with a punchy 1.3l turbocharged engine, smooth shifting 5 speed gearbox, and plush interior outfitted with all of the creature comforts necessary in the groundbreaking 1990s. Earlier generations were championed for their light curb weight and rear wheel drive configuration, making this commuter car a joy to drive to work during the week, or on a spirited drive during the weekend. The Starlet nameplate has a rich history in both the US and Japan.

This 1991 Toyota Starlet is a GT Turbo model designed by Toyota to compete with other hot hatches of the time, including the VW Golf GTi, Mazda Familia GTX, and Nissan Pulsar GTI-R.
